Dr. Paul Dayton was honored to be invited to be a part of the teaching faculty for a lab and lectures on Lapiplasty 3D Bunion Correction and Triplane 1st MTPJ Fusion, along side the Duke University Orthopedic Faculty and others. The didactic and surgical lab focused on the philosophy of triplane bunion correction, as well as new Lapiplasty innovations, triplane 1st MTPJ fusion, and bunion correction with metatarsus adductus. These learning sessions and labs bring together experienced faculty to train surgeons on the nuiances of triplane bunion correction to help them achieve the best patient outcomes possible. Lapiplasty is currently the the #1 bunion product in the United States and this is due to the focus on education, research and outcomes. Recent published studies show Lapiplasty to have a less than 3% recurrence rate. Dr. Paul Dayton is a lead researcher and educator on bunion surgery and along with Dr. Mindi Dayton, they have performed over 500 Lapiplasty Bunion Corrections.
