The team of surgeons of Foot and Ankle Center of Iowa/ Bunion Surgery Specialists are excited to report a recent publication in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Drs. Mindi and Paul Dayton were co-authors in this monumental publication highlighting the 1 and 2-year follow-up data of patients undergoing Lapiplasty 3D Bunion Correction. We have patients in year 3 of the study and the incoming data is just as positive! This publication highlights the excellent long-standing results, both in clinical and radiographic findings, as well as patient satisfaction, that can be achieved with Triplane Bunion Correction with Lapiplasty. The Dayton’s have been performing Triplane Bunion Correction for over 10 years based on the results of this compared to traditional osteotomy procedures, which have a high failure rate and low patient satisfaction.
You could find the abstract of the publication here: https://www.jfas.org/article/S1067-2516(22)00118-1/fulltext#%20
